Crow’s Nest Hill Climb
This is it, the final stage.
A hill climb from Port Elliott up the beautiful Crow’s Nest Road.
Start: Bottom of Crows Nest Road Port Elliott – the Waterport Rd end. From: 2:00 PM
Parking: Parking and toilet facilities are available at the oval on Tottenham Ct Road, Pt Elliott.
Teams and team time: The team’s time is taken as the sum of the 3 fastest riders’ times.
No time bonuses on offer for this stage so make it count.
Riders will be sent off together in their teams.
Riders do not have to ride together and are permitted to draft only off riders from their own start group.
The climb:
All Divisions – Distance: 4km
Average Gradient: 6%
Elevation Gain: 222m
Start:
From 2:00 PM
The staging area for riders is at the base of Crows Nest/Waterport Rd.
Please ensure you are at the staging area at least 5 minutes before their allocated start time.
Placings:
For the Stage 4 Hill Climb, placings and prizes are for both Team and Individual.
The team’s time for this Stage is the sum of the times for the first 3 riders only.
For the overall team placings for the Tour, the team’s time for this Stage is added to the team times for the other 3 Stages.
Individual times are given for all riders who finish.
For the overall individual placings for the Tour, times for each rider for this Stage are added to times for the other 3 Stages.
Record holders:
Cash bonus for record breakers!
$50 cash bonus for anyone who can set a new ToG record on the Crows Nest climb.
