Extreme Weather Policy
The AHCC has the following policy in place for racing members, referees, other officials and volunteers in terms of extreme weather events expected at, or occurring at, our events.

The AHCC policy:
- Catastrophic fire warning at the location of any section of and event: race cancelled.
- The Bureau of Meteorology Forecast temperature where the race is to be held is 38 degrees or more at any time during the proposed race: race cancelled.
- Forecast during the proposed race of high winds, heavy rain, possible route flooding, electrical storms, or temperatures between of 30 degrees or more and up to 37 degrees. Possible cancellation or modification of event distances.
Decisions concerning race cancellation or modification of the event (such as shorter distances) will be decided by Race Director in conjunction with Chief Commissaire and Safety Officer and will published on the club website and social media site by 6pm the night before the race.
Any modification of the event taking into consideration the prevailing conditions on the day of the event that were not evident beforehand will be determined and announced at the event.
