  AHCC Zero Friction Cycling Hill Climb Series

The AHCC ZFC Hill Climb Series, first run in 2021 with the kind support of Zero Friction Cycling, is a series of timed hill climbs run by the club.

How it all works…..

Three graded Hill Climb Time Trial events – enter one, two or all 3 of them!

  • Round 1: Kennels to top of Blackburn.
  • Round 2: Montacute Rd – Maryvale Rd to Marble Hill.
  • Round 3: Corkscrew Rd to Marble Hill

First rider off at 9 am. Fastest grade first, then working down through the grades.

Head down, bum up, ride like crazy. 

What bike can I use? Needs to be a road bike but this can be a TT bike if you like.

Can I aero up? Yes, no problem.

What grades will there be?  ‘A’ through to ‘G’ – we’ll have a spot for everyone.

And the prizes?

  • Prizes for each round will be awarded at the finish as each grade completes (1st, 2nd and 3rd plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd female, in each grade).
  • ZFC prizes for the overall winners across all 3 rounds in each grade will be given out at the club’s next road race following series completion.

Who can come? 

  • Anyone who has an AusCycling All Disciplines license, or is coming using the AusCycling 4-week trial license.
  • It’s open to AusCycling ‘seniors’ (aged 19 and over) or U19 riders who are able to ride in seniors events.
