Times and Time Bonuses:
Time bonuses are available for the first 5 riders at the finish – 20, 16, 12, 8, 4 seconds
Riders in finishing bunches, where bunches are separated by less than 1 second (this is the gap between the last rider in the front bunch, and the first rider in the following bunch), will all be given the same time for the Stage. Time bonuses (reductions in the finishing time), as shown above, are given to the leading riders in the Stage.
Placings:
For the Stage 2 Road Race, placings and prizes are for both Team and Individual.
The team’s time for this Stage is the sum of the times, including any Time Bonuses, for the first 3 riders only.
For the overall team placings for the Tour, the team’s time for this Stage is added to the team times for the other 3 Stages.
Individual times are given for all riders who finish and include any Time Bonuses.
For the overall individual placings for the Tour, times for each rider for this Stage are added to times for the other 3 Stages.
Feed zone:
For the Stage 2 Road Race, a feed zone point is available for those doing the longer course. The zone is in Malang for the return trip and will be marked with safety cones.
You can have someone supplying your team with food and/or fluids but this person needs to be an AusCycling member (does not need to be a racing member – just needs a membership of some form).
If you plan to make use of this, you need to register that person with the Race Director by the Thursday in the week prior to the race weekend, and done by 9am that day: contact president@adelaidehillscc.org.au .
Those providing food/drinks to your team are responsible for clean-up.
