2027: The year ahead

News from Adelaide Hills Cycling Club, .

Our 2027 race calendar is out: 16 races over 13 race days, a new series with a new way of scoring, and the Tour of the Fleurieu in February.

Racing at Stamps Rd

We start at Springhead Rd on Sunday 10 January and finish at Oakwood Rd on Sunday 5 December.

Never raced? You can try your first race on a free trial licence: see Your first race. Racing with another club? You're welcome to race with us on your AusCycling licence.

Each race's page has its start time, registration time and course. See all the races.

Race the Hills 2027

Eleven of those races make up Race the Hills, our new series for 2027, with a new way of scoring. Every rider earns points for their finishing place in their grade, from 20 for a win down to 1 for 15th. On set laps, called prime laps, the first riders across the line win King and Queen of the Mountains points, and they count even if you don't finish. There are also classifications for Hills Women, Young Riders, Masters and Over Age riders.

Want a head start? We're trying the new scoring out at our last two races of 2026: Forreston on Sunday 15 November and Oakwood Rd on Sunday 6 December.

See the rounds and how scoring works.

Tour of the Fleurieu

The Tour is on 27 and 28 February: three stages for teams, and our last time racing at Waitpinga before a new day 2 in 2028. Day 2 also has the Crows Nest hill climb time trial, not part of the Tour, just for the glory.

Team managers can register their team's interest through their team portal from Monday 30 November until Sunday 24 January. See the Tour.

Team racing in August

One day of team racing on Sunday 29 August. One race or two, and on which course? We're still working that out.

It's two weeks out from the Super Series, so it's a good hit-out for new teams and experienced teams alike.

Race fees

Race entry is $25 to the end of 2026. From January 2027 it goes up to $30, because races cost more to run.

Fees for the State Championships in August and the Tour in February are still to be confirmed.
